This is not the first time Richard has worked with the orchestra &#8211; over the years he and composer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0175389\/\">Bill Connor<\/a> have revisited Chiang Rai, providing masterclasses and leading rehearsals for many concerts and events.<span style=\"color: #e08c03;\">\u00b6<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Richard has a long-standing relationship with Thailand; he was the composer on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0975744\/?ref_=nm_flmg_com_9\">Naresuan<\/a> films, conducted a special birthday performance for His Majesty King Bhumipol Adulyadej, and is the director of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maefoundation.org.uk\/\">MAE Foundation<\/a>, a charity that focuses on opening up musical possibilities for children in the refugee camps lining the border with Burma.<span style=\"color: #e08c03;\">\u00b6<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In December Richard returned to his friends in the Chiang Rai Youth Orchestra, to take part in a festive concert.
